Divine Prophet Child by ekmaiComment: Very effective technique - pop a flash and zoom? The title is credible as a movie and your image matches it very well. Simple, direct, relevant composition and great technicals conspire to make this a very effective piece of work.
This will do very well. |

De Pittsburgh Caperby dtremainComment: Nearly credible title; strange choice of composition - there's negative space and then there's ineffective use of space; with this little going on, I can't imagine why your verticals aren't!
Doesn't say movie to me and actually, I'm sorry to be cruel - there isn't much in the image that I can be positive about.
I'm gonna give you a 2 but at least you know why. |

Detroit's Pigeon Crewby SiouxComment: Wonderful, wonderful shot; I think a portrait crop / near square crop from the lamp post to the tip of the facing bird may have worked even better though.
However, I think the title stretches movie-title credibility and though the picture is fantastic - it doesn't say 'movie' to me in the same way as some of the other entries do.
I can't bring myself to give it less than a 7 though - I can't bring myself to be too 'DNMC' on images this good. |

Dumping Personal Crap (Don't People Care?)by GeneralEComment: Perhaps Michael Moore could make this title work but other than that it doesn't say 'movie' to me in the same way as some of the other entries do.
The general composition, flat lighting and dull (but important) subject matter leave me cold I'm afraid. |

Destination Phoca Countryby hajekaComment: Phoca as in seal? I can see that with that context, the title works in a fashion for a movie (whether it would pull the viewers in is another matter!) Your image is a good match for the title and is well executed but I don't think the composition or the feeling this image offers gives it a movie feel. |

Dawn at Party Cityby sekarmalathyComment: Borderline credible movie title and the image is a fair match. It is of course very well executed - HD and colour handling have a Dougi555 feel about it but in the end I'm not sure that it communicates 'movie' to me. |

DaRk, pERVeRSE and CrAzYby tfarrell23Comment: This simple setup conveys an awful lot and is very, very well executed. Lighting is perfect and the perspective on the gun is brilliant.
I can certainly see this as a movie poster and on the DPC front page.
Great stuff! |

Desiring Piña Coladasby TammsterComment: I think the title stretches movie title credibility and though the picture is pretty good - it doesn't say 'movie' to me in the same way as some of the other entries do.
The depth afforded by the clouds is very effective though. |

Devils Plague Calls by Rainbow-Coloured-SoulComment: Good, feasible movie title - loads of negative space which works really well for this genre.
Well shot (though the coast line might look better horizontal); achieve the right 'feel'.
I'm sure this will do well. |
