I do like shallow DOF portraits and though you have captured the eyes, I think a little more DOF for this subject might have been better.

Credible title for a quirky movie and the image reflects 'Dawn Patrol Crusaders' - does the image have the look of a movie poster? Not for me. I do like the image though - bags of story, which is good.

However, as a photo I really like the high key handling and the wide pupils and catch-lights, though I do think the cropped vertex and pigtails might have been included.

I can see a movie title like this coming from an adaptation of a cult science fiction book - but really it's a bit of a stretch. It's a pretty image for sure, but it has a smeared quality that doesn't sit too well with me.

It's OK as an image but it doesn't say 'movie' to me in the same way as some of the other entries do.

I think the background is rather too prominent and whatever filter you have used for this tone-mapping look has left a bit of halo-ing around the gloves, something I'm never fond of.

I also think your composition could have included a little more negative space - this shot but with more background and the gloves more towards the bottom right may have been for effective for this challenge.

Overal though - a decent shot.

A good stab at a credible title (albeit more armchair matinee than cinema blockbuster) and your image matches that title well.

The technicals are pretty good and your edit is sympathetic to the subject but overall it isn't the most movie-poster-ish entry in the challenge.

Tones aside (I wish this had a blue / white hue) this is a beautiful image - credible movie title? No. Does it have a poster feel? A tad.

Overall, great image in the wrong box. I don't really do the DNMC thing but for this challenge I have pegged your score back a little.
