Bird Balletby PaulComment: Originally posted by JustFred: Super image. Sorry Paul, but I mistakenly thought it was Wendy as it reminded me so much of her style.
Ps. I see I wasn't the only one who thought so. |
Certainly no need to apologise - I took it as a compliment. |

Lift to Heavenby pjotre7Comment: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: A captivating scene, no doubt. For me the most interesting element is the bag, it communicates so much - she is here for the long haul, not just a fleeting 30 minutes. Her head hung low makes us wonder whether her generosity of spirit is matched by those shoppers she encounters. Salvation or bargains - you choose.
Critical stuff: Not much at all really.
Overall: A well seen image. Nicely done. |

The Wayby zeuszenComment: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: A simple shot, well made - an exercise in demonstrating that less can be more. The contrast between the graining sand and the smooth water layer on the saturated sand is lovely. I also like how the stick penetrates the sand, like a boat passing through a wave - how fitting given where its vector leads us.
Critical stuff: Nothing really.
Overall: A satisfying image that is just right in a number of ways. |
