The dates on the headstone make this a little creepy to think about- she's only 52 and we're talking about her ending her journey already? He died at 44 and now, what... she's just passing the time till she dies? Well, to each their own.

As for the image itself, definitely fits the challenge, nice choice to go black & white.

Great idea- not sure how you did it, but I like the fact that you even tried to match the lighting!

II just recently calibrated my monitor and the background behind the two heads is quite distracting. Maybe on darker monitors it isn't as visible?

Wow- I really like the idea of this image. The composition is great, obviously well shot. I really like selective desat in certain situations, but it doesn't work for me at all here- it detracts instead of lending itself to the theme. there's also something really weird going on with the book, as if it was way oversharpened. Giving this a 5 for it's pros and cons.
