Lovely sharp detail and color throughout and excellent use of available light. I especially love the addition of the bedside lamp and the picture on the wall as they complement the image very nicely and add a feeling of completeness.

I can feel powerful emotions radiating from this image as the young child scans the endless horizon and ponders the mysteries of the fathomless and bottomless ocean. Poignant and yet at the same time powerful and brilliantly executed portrait. It mirrors the full range of human emotions associated when dreams are shattered and illusions are penetrated by the harsh realities of a cold and unfeeling world. The lighting has been creatively arranged and the pink heart is beautifully lit by a soft diffuse light and contrasts nicely with the dark grays and blacks. The look in his eyes reflect his pain and confusion at the events that have unfolded whilst hers show a strong and resolute look of defiance at the situation and of being in full control of her emotions and faculties and looking ahead to a new future with a lightness in her step and resolve in her spirit.

Ps.I watched the match on TV. Great game. Must have been fantastic being right there. Something went badly wrong with Federer's mindset in that 5th set. Never seen the Fed break down like that and get so emotional afterwards.
