Fatherby mocabelaComment: Did you look at the site and the photo I gave a link to? Here is the link to the Guru's official site. It's just that your father resembles him in a way facially. Your father looks such a happy man, so content and with such a beautiful happy smile.
The guru was revered and loved by many in his lifetime. I just thought it might interest you to know of this man. Your dad's actually got a much nicer smile then what the guru displays in his photo's.

Joy Inspite of Circumstance.by scooter88Comment: So where was this taken?
My Comment:
Superb portrait of this young African boy chewing on a piece of sugar cane. I am almost sure this was taken somewhere in Natal, South Africa. On the south Coast there, maybe around Illovo or Issipingo.
Of course the worlds largest producers of sugar cane are Brazil and India so this shot could just as well have been taken in Brazil somewhere as they also have a large African population.7 |

Derelict Windmillby sulamkComment: Lovely composition and I really like the processing. Gives it a painting like quality. Where is this? Looks like it could be in the Orange Free State, South Africa? 8
So I was right. Thanks for confirming. Message edited by author 2009-03-18 11:25:03. |

Cobus, My Son. by docpjvComment: It made me sad to read about your son's illness. I would have never have guessed he was ill. In my comment I still mentioned that the photo shows a strong characterful face. I hope there is a chance that he can be cured of whatever it is he is suffering from.
I also still thought that this image had a connection to South Africa. I came from there myself.
Ps. Why are you in exile at this time if you don't mind me asking? The old ways were buried a long time ago although some remnants refuse to die. Message edited by author 2009-03-18 11:08:59. |
