Donker drome bittersoet
harte waarin storms woed

Bo slagvelde waar valkyries swewe

vergangklikheid tot kuns verhewe
in die stryd om dood en lewe

Fragmente van ̢۪n verlore lied
̢۪n see van trane vol verdriet
aardse waardes is bedrog

Mag die mens sy waarheid vind
eer Mammon sy siel verslind
