You are never alone by DufusComment: Congratulations on the first of hopefully many ribbons! This was an awesome shot that I picked in the top 2 or 3. It is also now my desktop of the moment!

May we talk?by mclaren_chooComment: Beatiful shot here. I love the almost B/W that you get with the clouds and the silhouette of the light poles! I do think the second pole in the background takes away from the strength of the single pole in the foreground though. Maybe try cropping just to the right of the second pole or (IMHO better) just above it.

Not Alone So Much Longerby MonaComment: I really like this one except for the out of focus branch in the foreground. After the challenge I would try to clone it out and maybe clone out the lower antenna and then you would have a simple elegant shot that totally matches the title.

Anybody wants to play? Hello?by HRoxasComment: This is a cool idea! Good focus and use of DOF. The background is a touch busy though and even thoug out of focus, the lines on the court and nets pull my eye away from the subject (the ball)! I would try moving around to get closer to the ball and not have so much background. |

Lonelyby arnitComment: Awesome low-key shot the gives an excellent feeling of loneliness. The focus is dead on and the expression is priceless. Wonderful job!

Passing timeby vrphotosComment: This is beautiful! The warm golden tones of the background make an awesome contrast with the girls clothes. I think the angle that she is sitting is perfect. If you could see her (most likely) face glued to what ever she is looking at it would take some away from the feeling of solitude! The tree does an awesome job of helping to naturally frame the shot. Wonderfull shot. One of my faves so far...

lonely shoeby Crafty SueComment: Nice focus and fits the challenge well but there is no real appeal here...

Loves me notby robsmithComment: Interesting use of DOF. I wish I could get so tight with my camera.... However I don't think it gives the impact in this shot. I would like to see DOF just a bit deeper. Also crop out a bit if possible! |

Somewhere over the rainbow Bluebirds flyby jmritzComment: This is a good example of an almost great shot. I love the focus and the colors here!!! There is some very good composition. But it's too busy! If you cropped it in much closer around the steps, leaving out all of that walled in whatever you would have a much simpler and more appealing image!
