Shadow in waitingby trainComment: Is this a shadow or a silhouette that has been over processed? Either way it doesn't work for this viewer...

The shadow with a pipeby rhipsterComment: Is this pitsaman??? Just wonderin'
Great job of framing the frame within the frame! Nice distinct shadow or did you cheat and use a silhouhette instead? Looking at the camera makes me think the later. Either way this is a very cool shot and I'm gonna say top ten material!

light bender...by theodor38Comment: Great composition. I'm not sure what it is, but something seems to hold this shot back a touch. It may be the exposure or maybe the softness of the shadow caster. Overall a nice shot and bonus points for originality!

Moonlight Shadowsby mrblobbyComment: Nice way to get shadow/caster in the same frame while mostly hiding the caster! How long was the exposure? nice job of standing still!

Contemplation In Shadowby EddyGComment: Great composition! Love the way you filled the frame. A couple of small disrtactions: The jaggie lnes on the bottom of the image (cracks on the wall?) pull my eye like a magnet. Also Your shadow is sharper around the stool and back of the subject but fuzzy around the hand and head. If you could rearrange the subject/lighting to make the head/hand sharper it would be a superb shot!

Desperateby MarjoComment: This would be a great shot if you had a more distinct shadow! It looks to be a touch tilted (maybe the ribbon). Nice overall composition!

My Shadow is a Two Year Oldby karmatComment: Very interesting interpretation of the challenge! At first I didn't like it, but this time the title helps to create the feel of the shot. Some technical points. You have some jaggies on the diaginal line from the big hand to the left. This appears to be over sharpened. The round thing in the bacground is very distracting since the diaginal line takes your eye there. And to nit pick a little, the small line eminating from the childs pen is a minor point that could be fixed with advanced editing rules.
You get definate bonus points for originality here that override the small technical issues. Great shot! Hope the little one got a nice treat for holding so still!

Abstractby soupComment: I'm not sure that the negative of a reflection counts as a shadow. Giving you the benefit of this point however, this is one of the best 'abstract' shots that I've seen here so far.
TC
On a side point, why do people who submit abstracts have to point out in the title that it's an abstract? |

Five O'Clock Shadowby GolferDDSComment: I may have to change my comment on another shot now. This is an awesome shot! You managed to get the shadow (very distinct one btw) and the shadow caster all in the same shot with impecible lighting! The only thing I don't realy care for is the yellow tint to the background... One of the best two so far! I wanna know how you lit this!!!

My Shadow Stayed Thereby MonaComment: Wish the colors would have too! I do not and probably never will appreciate this type of over processed psychedelic looking image...
