Camera: Fujifilm FinePix 2600Z
Location: Hamilton New Zealand
Date: Feb 2, 2004
Galleries: Abstract, Nude
Date Uploaded: Feb 2, 2004

This was really funny to do I used a torch lantern In a darkened room and the lounge wall I was perched on my settee in the nude I was just hoping no one came to the door!
It is very difficult to take a photo of your own shadow and I had quite a few really silly ones
What a laugh! No I am not showing them
I use a suppressed flash
smooth the filter 3
Tone -20% added border touched up a little with clone tools not much mind you! Cropped a little
Then colour reduction 8 so there you go I dont expect to do that great and I am getting on in years so I hope I dont get too many snide comments! It was fun But I hope I dont get to do too many more of these
My dog looked at me as if I had flipped!
The things I do for D P C !

I don't know if you compressed too much or what, the colors are messed up. Maybe it was meant, I don't know. This could have been a very nice photo.

A bit too abstract to determine if it is really a shadow. The title tells the story though and I do like the composition of the photo.

I like the idea. I don't particularly care for the execution.

Sensuous silhouette, but overprocessed. Crop makes the image feel "heavy" on the left. Too bad both legs only cast one shadow. One leg pointed towards the upper right corner would have given this shot a bit more balance.

I think this was a good idea, but there are a couple of things which I think detract from its aesthetics: 1) perspective, the angle makes the head out of proportion, 2) the posterization effect; 3) the color (combined with the posterization).

Is this a shadow or a silhouette that has been over processed? Either way it doesn't work for this viewer...

Wow, very sexy shadow! Is the orange suppose to be sun rays hitting the body? I like the photo but not a big fan of the effect used on the photo. Does not effect my vote though. Nice photo, Good job!

A work of art! I can see this hanging in a gallery. The color tones are great.

I like the texturing, the lighting and the soft exposure and mood. And it helps to have (or be) an attractive model.

A shapely and sexy shadow, nicely captured. I don't care for the posterization of the colors, however and I wish your head wasn't cut off at the top of the frame.

Great compostion and I love your idea but I really don't like the effect you used. I think it would've been much more effective without it, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise, I like this shot.

Good idea and composition, but the banding really turns me off.

I like the silhouette concept, but I really don't care for the solarization effect or whatever that was used.

Love it, my fave of the challenge for sure. Would have liked even more, I think, without the posterise effect though. Beautiful shape, perfect silhouette. Love it.
