"Coast is clear - go for it!"by ImagineerComment: Funny shot! Funny title! Great colors and exposure! Great example of bokeh. My only problem with the shot is that I'm a traditionalist as far as the term candid is concerned and have to mark down a point for lack of people...

Brother's Passingby stupidcatComment: Very nice soft focus effect. How did you achieve this? Please tell us after the challenge! Great tonality too. Gives it a more old timey feel which fits in well with the subject. Your title leads one to believe this is a sad time, but the feel of the shot doesn't show it. Makes me wonder about the cultures involved...

"I see you!"by parrotheadComment: Nice shot of the child, but IMHO a good example of bad bokeh... It's kinda disracting. I keep finding my eye drawn to the bright circles in the background.

Gone Fishingby PDavisComment: Very nice! You captured the moment well. Love how you have not just a simple silhouette but some detail in the girl too. Good job.

solitary sunsetby wkmenComment: My first impression of this shot is that you've lost your models head... I find this to be quite distracting in an otherwise beautiful shot. If s/he was lower (squating down or kneeling) so that they don't dissappear into the background, this would be damn near perfect

pier reflectionsby wkmenComment: Like the overall composition and tonality of this one. I do think you're tilted though. The main beam of the pier is not true vertical and the horizon is off. This is an easy fix in Photoshop. PM me if ya need to know how. With the skew of the rest of the beams in the pier though, I'm not sure that straightening the horizon will make it look more balanced or actually make it look more crooked...

summer is doneby wkmenComment: This shot is very busy and I'm not sure what you are trying to say with it. There are too many elements and not enough lines to lead your eye to a subject. Is there a subject? Also, the colors are a tad bit flat maybe due to not enough lighting. The image is also flat. What lighting did you use? Ambient light? Try using a light (as simple as a table lamp or clamp lamp) on one side to create shadows, textures and depth.
Hope it ain't too negative for ya, just sayin' what I see.
