I had a similar idea to this, but didn't shoot and enter this challenge -- so, I'd have to say, "GREAT IDEA!"

Ha ha! How many times have I heard that question personally!? Nice idea -- her hands and face are a bit blown out though

I wish the DOF included his nose. Great photo otherwise. Eyes are spot on.

I've seen many an empty playing field in this challenge, but this is the best to me. The green tint really works and the overall monochromatic look of most of the photo with the goal and tree nearby standing out from the rest -- looking almost 3D is what makes this one better than the rest. Nicely done.

One of my favorites of the challenge. You've stopped the action quite well -- I almost wish there was a little motion blur to show this is real. Colors, saturation, all great. Frame is nice without being obnoxious. Nicely done.

Love the shot and the title is great. The faded threads on the ball work great -- I just wish the grass wasn't so light -- it should be rich green.

My first impulse was "racing isn't a team sport -- it's one individual against another." But then I thought, "no way -- racing IS a team sport." Sure, you only have one driver, just as in football you have only one quarterback. Still football requires more than just a quarterback as racing does need more than just a driver -- the driver has a whole team behind him (or her). That being said, the person IN this photo WOULD BE one of that team, thus this photo doesn't meet the challenge -- you are showing one of the players. Dang... I liked this photo too (it beats looking at yet another photo of a basketball hoop by a long shot). I'd say you definitely have a keeper here, it just doesn't fit the challenge.

Nice concept and nice angle -- all except the tilt to the right. People generally like to see that horizon running straight across, or really skewed, like you meant it. the cleat marks are a definite bonus that makes this look more like a moment in time in the game rather than an empty field.

Golf is rarely a team sport, right? I mean, it's individual against individual. I clearly get this image of golf without the players though. The DOF is great to keep you focused on what is important: The ball, hole, and pin.

The players hands are in the photo -- thus this photo includes players -- does not meet the challenge. Oh, and the picture is way small.
