Rogue.jpgby naomikComment: Heehee, I love this! The way his muzzle is lopsided and his tongue is folded back... just wonderful. He looks like a typical grizzly old pirate, what with that chin jutting out at the right moment. It's like he's caught saying "Arrr!" or "them's fighting words!" Too bad about the flash in his eyes but that helped made him look all the more fercious. I hope he wasn't really growling or being nasty when you took this picture. A nice capture! |

Hypnotic spinby naomikComment: This is great. I gave it an 8. You were right in using the revolving lighted ball. The way it cast interesting shadows on the lady's face is purr-fect, and the streaks of the colored lights does indeed help achieve a feeling of movement. The harsh shadows on the model's lower lip and neck/chest bothered me, but not overly so. Kudos on an excellent photograph! I'm amazed this didn't end up on the top 10 or even 20. |

Yin & Yangby lynnesiteComment: Awww. So sweet, so tender! This action makes them very human... there seems to be a lot of love in their eyes. I wish there wasn't a grid/fence under the brown horse's face but that clearly can't be helped. A terrific shot! If these horses could talk, I'm sure they'd want this picture framed and put in their stalls. :-) |

Fogstar in Pinkby lynnesiteComment: Wowers! I agree with other commenters... 'mystical' is the right word! I wish the horse's head/eyes wasn't hidden like that but the action helped make up for it. Love how the mane is raised in freeze-motion along with the tail and dirt flying. Looked like the horse came galloping in from fog and is coming to a graceful stop. Nicely done! |

41828w.jpgby lynnesiteComment: Hey, a cute tabby cat! Is that me?! Just kidding. Very cool picture. I like how the cat's head is centered in the photograph and the cat is looking off to the side. Makes it more interesting than if it is looking directly at the camera. Too bad about one of the ears being cropped off... I think it'd have been better if the ear weren't cropped. This would be a great photograph to be purr-oudly displayed on the fireplace mantle or coffee table for the guests to admire. :-) |

Pet therapy in sepiaby suemackComment: I had to take a second to figure out what the guy is doing... then I see the dog's head under the arm! Excellent picture, especially that it shows the folks in the background which helps tell the story. I think it's really cool how you captured the guy who's clearly on the floor and enjoying his time with the dog. Too bad about the leash behind the subject (looks like it's coming out of his nose or something... kind of distracting). A wonderful heart-tugger nonetheless! The photograph in sepia is an excellent choice and evokes emotions. |

the bidderby suemackComment: Awww... I had to grin at this! I love how these pictures "tell" a story. Too bad the placement of the dog is just a tad bit uneven, otherwise it probably would have been better. But even as it is, it's a guarantee grin-inducer! Give Bailey a generous rub on his head from me for being a great model! :-) |

"Love for my Country"by bcobleComment: Very nice! The only nitpick is the white "streak" on the top-right side (something behind the flag, it seems?) as well as the shadow in top-middle area. Maybe increase the saturation to make the picture "pop"? Other than these, excellent and refreshing picture of good ol' USA flag! |

Autonomyby jmritzComment: Nice! But the colors are a little flat. Perhaps try adjusting contrast/curves/levels? Or convert it into a B&W? All in all, a good shot! I like how the boat and its mast stands out. |

Escaping The Ordinaryby annahComment: Lovely shot! I think it would've been better/fitting if there were only one person instead of two. The borders are a tad thick but that's just my opinion. B&W is a great choice for this picture! Beautiful scene. |
