It was an affliction well known in the world for the Double-Headed People. On occasion, one will be born with heads that simply cannot get along. One will be liberal, the other conservative. One will be perpetually happy, the other will be perpetually blue. One will be a morning head, the other a night owl.

In the case of Eve and Regina, however, years of conflict finally led to a sad and tragic ending. As Regina finally ended her other head's existence, she screamed in triumph. Finally, finally, she would be free, and would never hear "No, Tom CRUISE is cuter!" ever again.

He stood there, surveying all the lands. Everything he could see, was finally his. At that moment, on that rooftop, he was KING OF THE WORLD!!!

"Harold, darling," A voice whined, "can we go now? It's cold up here, and we only have the room for one more night. I thought, you know, maybe..."

Harold sighed as the rest of his wife's words became a mumble to his ears, and began to walk toward her. She wouldn't even let him be King of the World for five minutes. Five minutes! Was that too much to ask?

The couple left the observation deck and took a taxi back to the hotel, and the world never did find out what it was like to be ruled by Harold.

She'd heard it all before. All the cliches, all the platitudes.

Yet it doesn't matter how many times someone utters that life isn't fair. Or that it's hard, or that good things come to those who wait. Sometimes she just wanted to hear what even she knew wasn't always true. Sometimes she just wanted someone to tell her that everything was going to be ok. That the sun comes up tomorrow.

As a single tear threatened to fall, she turned at the sound of an approaching footstep, and saw her father standing there. He took her by the shoulders, smiled a little, and enveloped her in a hug. "Darling," he said, "we all have days like this, but I love you, and things will seem so much better tomorrow." He then wiped the threat of a tear from the corner of her eye as she tentatively smiled back up at him, and together they walked off towards whatever was to come.

It was a stand-off, but the gull side was weakening. Every minute there were fewer and fewer. They fought well, they fought bravely, but it seemed to be inevitable. They were going to lose their land. As the day waned, they took one final stand, and their bravery was never forgotten.

"Hey Frank?"

"Yah Fred?"

"What say we ditch these polo-heads and go for a beer?"

"Best idea I've heard all day Fred."

"First one to the fence is a rotten Cow."

He ran, and ran, and ran. It wasn't real, it couldn't be. Another turn, another bush impeding him, another scratch from a thorn bush. Panting, out of breath, Jack turned, and found the strength somehow to scream. The truck was there still. Beyond all reality, it was there, and it was coming for him.

He stopped. It was as if he was hit by a bus of love. There she was, the bug of his dreams.

He tilted his head, she tilted hers. He winked, she returned it. He smiled, she smiled back.

It was a love for the ages, and a tragedy never matched.

Sadly, the first few attempts to reach outer-space went horribly, horribly wrong.

They found out that the Milky Way wasn't actually milky in a very wrong way.

As they finished up the session, little Devon got a round of laughter out of everyone by finally declaring, "Are we done yet mom, I'm cold and I gotta go POTTY!"

The morning after, with a surrealistic glow to the sunrise, only the palm trees remained. Despite all the claims to the contrary, Humanity didn't destroy the earth with their massive weapons, only themselves.
