A 2 year old's affluenceby YomiComment: I see this as a family snapshot, best suited to the Family Album. The photo in no way represents the topic for me.
Sorry.......... |

Big Rideby neophyteComment: The depth of field is a little too narrow for me. The letters are not all sharp (especially H, U and R). I would have preferred to see this as a very sharp capture of the traditional grill and HUMMER.
The crop works. The idea was good, the angle of view ios also good though |

Seems safer than a bank todayby ShamanComment: It does seem safer.
Great Idea and great execution. Light from the candles to help light the box is great. I would have been tempted to be slightly fdurther out, and make more use of the reflections as well (would need to see the result though) as at the moment the candle reflections (especially the small one) are awkwardly cropped (can just see the light glow from it)
But thats minor. Great capture here. Well Done |

...To Burnby mchalmersComment: A classic take on the topic.
The exceptionally narrow depth of field, while well done technically, does not work for me here. It makes the photo a little too much OOF for my liking, and also the overall photo too dark as well as a result |

Fast Catby karenkComment: Exceptional capture. The sharpness of this photo and the reflections make this a stand out. Would also love to see the colour version. Only (very minor) thing would be the background (ideally, which is usually impossible) would have been great if it was either darker or lighter than it is. Its too close to the car at the moment.
But hey, that is only the most minor of things.
Excellent Job.....Well Done on a Great Photo |

Popcornby nikon90sComment: Great Idea and captured very well. The reflections are great, the lighting is spot on, the colours are great. Nothing to suggest here. Well done. |

growing from the inside outby hesitantComment: Different idea, interesting subject. The lack of colour hurts it from a visual sense. The depth of field is tricky, as the log is in focs on the lower part of the shot, but soft on the upper part. |

Circles of Light by BogiComment: Very efective. Unfortunatelty the outside ends up being over exposed, but would have been difficult to get the effect without this happening. Might have been better in colour, where we look out the grey pipe only a vista of colour |

Too Much Candyby VitaminBComment: Brilliant idea. Depth of field is spot on. I like the border as well, it finishes the photo off well |

They are mine, all mine ....by tjmuellerComment: Sorry to hear about Ricky.
I thought this would place higher, make the top 10 for sure. Sometimes I think voters kill a picture for the small technical issues (slight overexposed tennis balls) and do not realise what difficulty there might have been to change that. I pose in this picture is priceless, and I know how hard it is to work with more than one animal at once. And hey, if that German Sheppard deceides to lie too close to the bakcdrop, their ain't much you can do about it.
Congrats on a great photo of Ricky and Lucy! |
