Waiting For Godzillaby artvetComment: Nice Idea. An interesting place to shoot a photo, and meets the challenge well. The photographer does though blend a little too much into the background, and therefore is not as noticable as he should be. |

" the lunatic is in my head "by LelezComment: Great idea. The colours running through the shot give this something extra. The slightly overexposed areas I think add to the photo, rather then being a problem here. Good Submission |

A Lighthouse Keeperby ArtanComment: Great photo. The black and white works really well here. I like the detail int he sand, the refelctions in the water.

Art Was Hereby QuigleyComment: Nice idea. The shallow depth of field was what was required. Wondering what shutter speed you used though, as the car looks like there is some motion blur (might just be my eyes playing tricks) This photo still needs a fast shutter speed to stop the car, so that the blur is DOF, rather than motion. |

Dinning in Whovilleby dhumann1Comment: The noise in the photo is a problem, and detracts from what you were trying to achieve. There is very harsh lighting, causing bright areas and harsh shaddows in the photo. On top of this, the colours are uninspiring. For this to work, it needed bright colours in the shot. |

Taking Care of Businessby MAKComment: I like the idea on this, a Woodied Art is a great touch to the photo. The background looks like a print of a burning scene, and you have managed to make Art not look too out of place in it. Often in these, the thing in front stands out due to lighting etc but you have acheived it reasonably well.
Having said that, the colours overall, and the effect of photographing a printed scene give it a flat look (but then again, you couldn't really go and torch a village...) |

In Hell If He Doesn't Change His Ways!by toddheadComment: I liek the idea of a burning Woody. The Red background I don't think works. It means that much of the Fire effect is lost. This against a black backdrop I think would have been strunning. Also, A faster shutter speed would also have enhanced the photo then. |

In the Rice Fields of South East Asiaby orvaratliComment: Nice effect you have there. Having the person in the photo means it meets the challenge correctly. Without the person, it would have been another landscape shoehorned in.
i like the colours in the sky, and the effect you have with the clouds. The person is perhaps a little dark (could have lightened him under the Advanced rules). The reflections in the water are great. Well Done |

Lost in the Texas countryside?by TruegshtComment: Some interesting colours you have in the sky int his shot. Personally, the blue I think is a little overdone and unatural looking. The reds etc though are brilliant. I think there is too much blue sky int eh photo, and thus I would have cropped part of it out. This also then removes the dark areas at the edge of the photo in the sky, further enhancing the shot. To balance the photo more, some extra space at the botttom (yes, black area) also would have helped, as the current crop is a little too close to the sky.
Its a nice photo, yet even with the title, its a stretch to meet the topic though. |
