Classic New Yorkby dahlinComment: i really like the feel of this! the contrasty sepia totally brings out the New York vibe in it. did you add blur to the background? if so the blur around the empire state building seems a little harsh. i do however like how the blur makes the city fall away from you, definitely adding to the awesome dynamic of the photo

jimmyby nixterComment: incredible (like most of your stuff). i must admit i really like the colored photos that you do even more than your signature black and whites. the harsh almost caustic tones that you use at such low opacity really bring out the mood in this photo |

Playstationby MelethiaComment: I know that ive told you this before but i just love your work. these public "candids" that seem like they could be posed juxtapositions. you really know how to expose society, culture, and life, instead of just exposing light. |

Friendly Persuasionby JutildaComment: apart from the great composition and lighting/DR, the cuteness factor of this one really takes it from being a good photo to being a great photo. just yesterday i read something that made me think alot about the objectivity of candid-type shots, "it is highly important to realize that there can be no such thing as an emotionally neutral statement... whether we mean it or not every single thing we design and make will have some kind of subjective impact , for good or bad, over and above its overt rational purpose". in short no matter how well tuned a photo may be objectively, it is the subjective impact that makes a photo wonderful.

trapezeby JutildaComment: the visible grain in the background really adds a raw feeling to the shot, further accentuating the delicacy of the spider and single line of silk |
