Expensive garbageby mariucaComment: I don't understand the title? The red saturation is up too high, it makes the pavement looks strange; overall the shot isn't really very interesting I'm afraid, it doesn't look like art. The focus looks to be Ok but it's a bit hard to tell with the strong colour processing. |

Emergence by gyabanComment: That is freakin' awesome. This probably took a Helluva long time to set up! Nice lighting, a nice mix of colours and the most creative use of garbage in the challenge as far as I'm concerned. I hope you ribbon. |

Eine kleine Nachtmusikby whiteroomComment: Unless Mozart wrote Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to honour a broken coathanger he once saw, I'm not sure how the title fits, lol. Great shot regardless; beautiful tones, nice light, great focus. Border is a little too thick for me though. |

emptyby vawendyComment: Nice and crisp, I like the splash of colour on the label; the white background looks a bit blown-out behind the crushed bottom of the bottle but it doesn't detract too much, only a couple of small details lost. My main dislike is actually the border, as I generally dislike coloured borders but that's purely personal preference. |

Lampby richcarpioComment: A nicely taken shot, good composition and I like the blue tones; I'm not sure how a lamp that clearly still works is garbage though. |

Portrait through a window paneby PaulComment: I very much liked this shot, I prefer it to your outtake, I think you made the right choice. Lovely, soft and feminine, she looked to me like she had tears in her eyes which made it emotional too. Good work. |

They came from the outer trashby mcaldoComment: They look a wee bit like the Smash aliens, lol. Very cute little guys, nice focus and dof, teeny bit grainy but that kinda suits it. I don't quite get the garbage relation though? If you fashioned these guys out of rubbish then you did a great job but it's not really evident if that's the case, they're all too similar, like they were purchased. I might be missing an obvious joke but I can't see the relation to the challenge. |

A Gentleman's Regretby hmbutlerComment: Love this idea and it's technically a good shot (nice dof, clear focus, nice tones and light) but the fact that there is still alcohol in the bottle suggests he's not done with it, which means it's not garbage yet. Shame, as otherwise I love the shot; it just really should have been an empty bottle to fit the challenge. The quality of the shot still warrants a 6, I'd have rated higher were it not for the bottle being unfinished. |

The muffin survives...by vamudhaComment: It took me a minute to click that this was a muffin case flattened out, it's not very clear, there's a bit of noise on the subject and the focus isn't very good. I think the shot would have benefitted from being taken a little further out and not so close-in, sometimes being too close without a macro setting makes it difficult to focus too. I do like the muffin smiley face and the plain white background, I think this could have been really cool with a bit more work. |
