Medicine Bow National Forestby ph0t0tripComment: Curious to see the notes on this afterward... I love spending time in the Rawah Wilderness.
Not too sure how I feel about the trees, they do balance things, but seem somewhat matter-of-fact. |

I meant to do that!by Yo_SpiffComment: Originally posted by Yo_Spiff: Originally posted by Qiki: That is one old school Gary Fisher a got there 'Spiff. |
Old? It's only about 9 years old. But I won't tell her you said that! I had some trouble getting it shifting right and had offered her my Trek 900 mountain bike instead. She didn't want the Trek because it "looks like an 80's bike". I said "well is IS an 80's bike". She's still at the stage in her life where style is more important than function. I did finally get the Gary Fisher working right, however. |
To be fair.... GF as a brand doesn't exist anymore... they're now just a subsidiary of Trek that turns out bikes every now and again:)
The bike world has experienced a light year of changes in nine years though. The comparison if a 9 year old bike is pretty similar to saying a 9 year old DSLR isn't old. Having watched the development of this technology over the years (as it's one of my hobbies) has been pretty remarkable. I remember riding one of the top of the line DH rigs 9 years ago... and that thing, though running north of $7k, is horribly primitive by today's standards.
Doesn't look like she's any worse for the wear though, so the hose couldn't have been TOO vicious. Message edited by author 2011-08-30 05:51:00. |

Working stiffsby Yo_SpiffComment: I live in an extremely bike friendly community, and there are many folks that use bike trailers as their grocery haulers and whatnot. Admittedly, this is a bit different, but I can't say I'd be surprised to see this here.
Besides, you're only spoiled if you don't use your truck as a truck ;) |

Chevelle (1972 383 stroker)by FourPointXComment: Damn, I only saw this because of Facebook, since I haven't been spending as much time on here!
Great shot man, and a way to look outside the box a bit. Sure, Chevelle might be somewhat obvious, but shooting just the engine like that is great. The lights worked well for you and the depth of field of your cam certainly worked to your benefit here. The angled view and all of the great detail just leaves a ton for the eye to creep over. Great job man! |

How can nobody have commented on this yet!?
His expression is, by far, the best part of this. Great catch. Message edited by author 2011-08-18 03:32:57. |

eby bspurgeonComment: I agree with Brian about the photos being improved by the backing coming through. Very hard to discern any form otherwise. |

Plankingby ace flymanComment: A fitting spot for planking, if ever there were one. I think it's cool to see more of the context of these though, so you can see other people around staring and whatnot, and it helps to increase the absurdity (in my opinion) when you see the whole scene and a small person facedown. |

No kidding! Mesmerized little ones.
Very civil together, not at all like my sister and I were. I like the subdued window lighting coming from the back on this, very nice. |
