take me back to the startby jmritzComment: Dreary, grey, subdued, spooky, moody.
You've taken a horribly happy prompt and made it into something I love an devour. Very nice. I might have done a bit more contrast if it were me, but keeping things flat changes the feel entirely, different from my style, sure, but nice. It crushes the hope a bit, but I like it. A top vote here. |

Walking the Dogsby AmmieComment: I love the atmosphere of this. I'm a sucker for fading ridges, but the unconcerned feel is great, another day at the watering hole. Great colors. |

Honu At Punalu'u Beachby crack_seedComment: Cuttooth? Great picture, the Dof is just enough to have the beak, the tongue, and the trailing edge of the shell. Nice bw conversion, though it might have been possible to decrease the color of the surf through filter application to further concentrate us on the turtle. Very nice, in any case. |

High Tideby colorcarnivalComment: Interesting scene with the sand 'cliff.' I'd prefer more focus on either the fashion in which the sand has eroded or the individuals in the shot. As is, it seems a bit split between the two. |

Young explorersby AbraComment: A nice capture of a moment and action, but I'd like to see the greater context of the beach itself, the waterway. |

Entertainment In The Back Yardby BarronessComment: The processing does evoke the feel of a dated image quite remarkably, in fact, but the scene itself doesn't especially. If you had combined this with some folks at a boring family picnic or something, wearing short shorts and colored shirts, this would have been awesome. |

49 years agoby Alex_PetriniComment: Curious if you used a cigarette behind the cup for the "steam." A very carefully crafted scene, and done quite well. I've a sneaking suspicion I know who's this is... |

Galaxy Dinerby elizadebComment: I'd like to see the vantage point of this shot changed from the standard eye level, and have us focusing more on some particular part. It feels aimless, like the viewer is a deer in headlights standing in a place that is supposed to be comfortable and inviting. Perhaps by getting closer to and accentuating the rows of vintage style seats, for instance, this would have been improved. |

oldskool powerplantby CaptUnderpantsComment: I'd like to see more details of the engine itself, up close. This is a very impersonal shot of the engine to me, as it doesn't accentuate the curves, the angles of the engine, but is instead centered and static. |
