Golden Gate Bridgeby NasaComment: Not sure why, but it seems as though you've lost a bit of detail on this one. Perhaps it's because your aperture is wide open; maybe stop down a couple steps. |

Screaming Eagleby rseeleyComment: Bird captures are really tough. Between lugging a gigantic lens around and their flighty nature, it's difficult to get the composition one wants. You got a bit of action here with the screech, but I feel like the moment the eagle lighted or landed from its perch would have had a far stronger impact, which is crucial to Free Studies. Nice detail on the bird though. |

City in the snowby hajekaComment: Nice city scene. Quite a few people out despite the weather. I'm left wondering a bit on what the key subject is in the scene though; what should the viewer focus upon? Perhaps zooming in on the crowds of people more, or emphasizing the building facades more? It just doesn't seem as though you've focused upon a particular aspect of the scene. |

Break Thruby cabaComment: Haha. Nice action capture- the pose is excellent. I would like to have seen things from a bit wider perspective though, in order to get the scale of the wave crashing and just to improve perspective a bit. It feels like I'm being swallowed by the wave like the surfer as well, and I'd prefer to see the magnitude of how much the surfer is being swallowed, if you get me. Still good. |

Mack Dashby NikonJebComment: So did you end up liking a b/w treatment on your subject more? I was surprised to see you submit this and not the color version to 1x. |

Outback Lifelineby JudiComment: I agree... I really thought this would have scored higher. The selective desat is pretty nice. Maybe it's because the powerlines aren't such a prominent part? Who knows, but I like it. |

DSC_0181.JPGby ankursomaniComment: I would prefer to see where the building meets the ground, and it would also strengthen the vanishing point on the left. I'd also recommend getting a lower perspective, and if at all possible, bracketing exposure to combine into an HDR. This is a good candidate for this approach. |

DSC_0150.JPGby ankursomaniComment: Nice tones, you've done a nice job in the black and white conversion. This image would be strengthened quite a bit by having one of the children's faces visible. |

DSC_0209.JPGby ankursomaniComment: I feel like that with these photos, you have chosen to crop or frame the images in places that draw unwanted attention to the elements that are cut off. They do not seem to be naturally separated, and the scene seems incomplete as a result. The stairway, for instance, makes the whole scene seem incomplete because it leads off the frame. |

DSC_0028.JPGby ankursomaniComment: I like this shot. The bird's silhouette is nice, but I would wish the bird to be more prominent and higher in the frame, though. Also, your horizon is slightly tilted. |
