Simply beautiful. I'm not a photographer so I'm not the best judge of technical aspects of photography, but I appreciate the art and this is just wonderful to me.

HAH! I didn't see the little bee in there at first! I love the lighting on the flower. It really highlights the details of every feather and even the "hair" on the stem stands out against the dark background. I think this is just lovely.

A brighter time of day and this would not have been nearly as effective. I like it.

One of my favorites. Because there is only one small patch of flowers in the garden, they feel like a continuation of her dress. She stands out beautifully against the green of the grass.

This is the third park bench shot I've seen in this challenge and I like it just as well as the other two, but for a different reason. Although similar to the others in that it is the park bench theme and you kept it in black and white, it is very different as well. In the other picures, the bench itself was the off-center subject. In yours, you centered the bench but made the man the off-center focal point. I love this because it caused me to realize an act of human nature, that whenever we sit on a park bench, we almost always choose to sit on one side or the other, not the center. Why is that? To me, photography is much more than the picture--it is how you capture the essense of what you are photographing. I like how you did that here. Thank you for this wonderful picture. I can't vote on this challenge, but if I could, you'd be among my highest marks.

I like the way you got so much color from your subject while the rest of the backdrop, although colorful, is much more muted. With her red coat and bright blue umbrella, she really stands out.

This thumbnail captured my attention and, although I'm not allowed to vote, I just had to let you know how wonderful I think it is. The light is almost as much of a focal point as your subject on the park bench. Lighting up that whole side of the picture while leaving the left cast in shadow really emphasizes the theme of the challenge. My only regret is I do wish the trash weren't there. It can detracts just a little bit. But that's a very minor issue. If I were voting, this would surely be a 9 or 10 for me.

First of all, you have managed to capture the romance of the ferris wheel in a very beautiful way. I love the red and amber colors against the black sky and the fact that the cars are void of passengers is interesting to me. Look at how you captured the individual lights slong the spokes of the wheel. Your subject is so sharp and clean I can even read the numbers on the cars. As a side note, I also appreciate the creativity of your title. This is a perfect shot for this season of weekend festivals and carnivals.

Had you cropped it so that it fit as a magazine cover, I would have given this a higher score. I like the picture itself. A great action shot, although the man is a little dark. It would be nice to see a little more of his definition.
