Just one more time momby ASTONishingComment: Do I ever know that feeling. :-) Great photo too. I love the gradual fade from right to left. It leaves me wondering how many shots you had to take to get such a perfect look. Love everything about this. I'm not sure if it's as "textbook" low-key as some of the other entries, but I certainly won't mark you down for it. 10 I'd like to see a full-size version of this. I hate how much detail has to go with DPC's size requirements. |

Patterned Highlightsby banmornComment: I'm not sure how this one will fair, due to the subject, but I really like it. It's not something I would have photographed and certainly not something I'm good at photographing, but I like the angle you used and how it just seems to fade into eternity. 8 |

- Standing Watch -by andrewtComment: Wow! I'm wondering how you shot this. Great detail. How on earth did you manage this background? 9 |

Depressionby kidd0067Comment: This is low-key, but I think a secondary (even if it's faint) light source might have given a bit more detail to her hair. Also, the focus on her face could have been a bit sharper. 5 |

Featherby ZellerStudioComment: I like the idea, but I think a deeper depth of field would have helped the entire feather to be in focus. 6 |

untitledby MichaelCComment: Argh. I typed a long comment in here just to have dpchallenge glitch on me and lose it all. Well, I'll try to recreate my comments. :-)
I'm not sure I see this as a "hidden treasure" The hidden part of it just isn't there for me. It must be a gem of a place to photograph, though. I think I would have preferred the sharpest focus to be on the church, rather than the fence. Overall the lighting seems a bit drab to me. I think some brightness/contrast work might have helped this pop a bit more. Also, I'm not sure what caused it... (usually I associate it with hdr), but there is a slight halo around the church and the tree. Was that from post processing? Overall, I like the angle, but I would definitely go back and try to catch it with some more dramatic lighting. 5 |

Coilsby CrazyDiamondComment: Technically, I love the shot. I don't catch it's inclusion in this challenge. If it fit the challenge better, I'd give it a higher score for sure. 5 |

Beyond The Highest Heightby hesitantComment: I love the quality of this image, but I'm not crazy about the crop and the border. I also don't see the hidden treasure. I would love to give this a higher score, but I'm stuck on a 5. (my apologies, I know the quality of this image is much greater than a 5, I just don't get it in this challenge) |

Undercoverby janaeleeComment: I don't really get this shot. It doesn't really fit the challenge to me. Also, the composition doesn't excite me. Perhaps if she were a bit off-center, it would pop more. Her skin is blown out a bit as well. You were obviously shooting in difficult lighting conditions. I don't know that I could remedy any of that, but that's what I see when I look at this photo. 5 |
