Feet of Flightby LeahStephenComment: Och, noo, its the Serious Burns Unit. The Mrs does this 'pointless leaping' thing. I just drink thier unbeleivably strong beer, and my vision goes like this after just 1/2 a pint. I'd crop in alot closer, perhaps even cropping toes to get into the movement.

Ugly Duckling? Swan appearance?by amazoneeaComment: Needs a faster shutter speed to get rid of the blur. Or make better use of the blur by using a slower shutter to catch the twirl motion a bit better. |

A Little Lifeby JPRComment: Its a hoverfly of the Syphus genus (E.g. Syrphus ribesii) its impossible to tell the exact species from the photo, you'd need a better shot of the wing to be sure.
Its in Alaska, so perhaps there are only a couple of species recorded in that area, and you can get a good idea of species by eliminating all lookalikes from elsewhere. |

Freshly Pickedby ladpupmoeComment: How do you get your carrots to come out of the ground ready washed?
I'd lose the carrots and just the strong red tomatoes againts a field of fresh green, perhaps with the veg patch in the background. |

Wildberry beetleby MjrTomComment: Not a beetle, Its actually is a bug! Makes a refreshing change from calling beetles bugs. A young sheildbug or squashbug. Pic needs some composition, everything is just stuck in the middle, try rule of thirds. |

National Theatre of Hungaryby csokaComment: Heh, the curve takes the eye right out of the photo, but it still works! Perhaps if the sun was back a bit, the shaows could be leading the eye too. |

Flying aroundby vignirComment: This is sooo close to being one of the very very best. The problem is the background, and the lack of any detail in the dark head area. Maybe dodge and burn can save this. |

Tentative Reachingby KonadorComment: Nice detail. Perhaps a bit more light along the bottom. Remove the dandelion seed from the leaf (perhaps use it as a detail in the top right?). |

Spiderby daztazComment: Nice pic, a bit glary. I strongly suspect that this is a ground dwelling spider that has been placed on some other spiders web, but I wont hold that against you. |
