Listen to the wind.by AlainComment: I listen to the wind
to the wind of my soul
Where I'll end up well I think
only God really knows
I've sat upon the setting sun
but never, never never never
I never wanted water once
no never, never, never
I listen to my words but
they fall far below
I let my music take me where
my heart wants to go
I swam upon the devil's lake
but never, never never never
I'll never make the same mistake
No never, never, never
- by Cat Stevens
That's what your photo made me think of :)
I love the moodiness of this...but it seems more like silence to me than sound. Great shot though! |

Bentby dafletchrComment: This photo looks like it wandered over from the AA challenge!! Haha.
Great tonal range, love the tree (great fun to climb, I'd bet)...the picnic bench definitely adds to the image, in my opinion. |

Standing,,,by ikopanasComment: A little bit too dark and too yellow for my tastes. Gives the image an ominous feel.
Of course, if that was what you were going for, you've certainly accomplished it well.

Growing the Family Treeby klkitchensComment: Haha, excellent take on the challenge!
Sepia fits this image well, that was a good editing choice. I wish we could see more of the handwriting and the "WAR RATION BOOK" distracts a bit. |

The Fool on the Hillby MAKComment: Epic. I'm sure this tree has a story to tell...
Only he remained. His companions had been removed years ago, killed brutally by men with axes and saws...but somehow, inexplicably, only he was left, on his hill, to watch over what had once been their domain...it was a lonely life, that of a single tree...
The colors are fabulous. |

Ghost-Dancerby GeneralEComment: Gives a sense of motion...
This will be grossly underrated. It's a study in shape and form rather than a "wow factor" image...and we both know how the voting population tends to go.

Sun Danceby limerickComment: Lovely, lovely, lovely silhouette. That tree looks particularly excellent because of its intricacy.
The reds, however, may be a bit oversaturated...

Rootsby jerseyjimComment: I love all the tones in this -- the patterns in the roots, the shadows, the water, the bright tree on the far side...
Lighting makes it look a bit flat.
