Reflections Of 2002by rickhd13Comment: I can see where you're going with this one. However, for the image to really work, you need to lighten the image in the eye a touch more. 5 |

Orange Lilyby Spork99Comment: I didn't comment either, but I gave this a solid 10. A truly wonderful shot. (Maybe just a little noise interferance...) |

Chairman of the Board by crabappl3Comment: This is a great transformation! The editing really shows a strong argument for allowing more advanced rules here. Superb stuff. |

An Orchestra of Coloursby KonadorComment: This is a very nice idea, and the colours are simply superb.
I wonder, though, if the overall effect wouldn't have been better had different instruments been chosen and from widely different angles? If you want to concentrate only on the brass section, or even on only one instrument, you could use the bell, the mouthpiece, the top or bottom view, or whatever. |

Nataliaby dimitriiComment: I think people must be scared to comment on these wonderful shots. 820 views.
This is a great shot. The pose is provocative - natural yet arrogant. The tones are spot on, and the composition simply marvellous. |

Smiley Fishby KimInNBComment: Seeing as you've used my real name, I've got to comment on this.
Yes. I smile, too, when I see this. You've caught a precious moment. It might be better, though, to crop a lot out of this to focus in on the fish itself. Then the subject would be more obvious and, hopefully, funnier. Nice colours. |

Meltby LucidLotusComment: In your comments, you say that getting a nice, sharp, even focus was difficult. I think that the reason for this was that you used f2.0, one of the widest stops possible.
If you had used a narrower stop, like f5.6 or so, more of the shot would have been in clearer focus. What I do when I absolutely need the shot to be in focus is to use my narrowest stop (f9.5). But experience tells me that for a 5-10 cm object f5.6 is enough. You need to experiment. |
