Jenniferby EddyGComment: This is a lovely portrait - like the style, the black background, the highlighted hair (great colour), the skin tones. I would love to see some more shots from the shoot - perhaps some less symmetrical and perhaps more relaxed? My subject had and has very limited patience and getting her to relax was not one of my strong points! |

The Girl With A Pearl Earringby sherComment: A very clever reprise; all the great artists "borrowed" occasionally. Nicely lit, lovely clear focus and a well controlled background. I like the slightly noisy skin texture and assume that it was deliberate. The edge to the dress on the left is a little hard, maybe PS'd or maybe that was how it photographed but it is a great shot. |

daughterby nordicComment: I have seen that pose before, boys too! Nice soft and gentle light, good detail in the shadow, love the highlights in the hair, gentle focus too - very nice! |

All That Jazzby jpochardComment: I play too but not often enough! Nice idea but perhaps the subject should be further away from the background to drop it out of focus and Imaybe I would crop to the waist and not crop the trumpet, giving a landscape portrait of a trumpet player - great! |

Cactus Jackby tfaustComment: Nice idea and it works well in sepia but the light is perhaps a little too harsh, creating deep contrast between shirt and face, although you have captured the detail in the face. |

Monicaby AlexysComment: An interesting fragment - one wants to see more! One is drawn to the eye but I would have liked a pose that faced the camera by a just few degrees more. |

portre ressami by kiwinessComment: Stunning! The colour of the headdress compliments the skin tones, the lighting is just right and the neutral background is perfect. The focus on the eyes is very compelling. This is a superb portrait. |

Smile!!!!!!!by lmatrangaComment: Soft gentle tones for a soft gentle portrait, nice diagonal pose. The background, especially behind his right ear, detracts a little but who cares? |

Samby rhipsterComment: An unusually tight crop proves very effective. Love the diagonal composition and the gentle colour tones offsetting the bright bue eyes. |
