Pushing Throughby mciComment: One of my top votes in the challenge. great lighting. I like how the arm is just coming out of the darkness and pressing against and unseen surface. The fingers are splayed just right conveying the emotion of anguish, isolation or entrapment. looks great - well done. |

cold sharp steelby coldaComment: All of these knife and pin prick shots definitely make me shudder so I guess they are effective in meeting the challenge. This is an effective shot - great as black and white.

Sharpby NodeComment: All of these knife and pin prick shots definitely make me shudder so I guess they are effective in meeting the challenge. This is an effective shot - not neccessarily one I'd like to hang in my living room, but a decent shot. The finger seems a bit soft, though.

Friendshipby NitinComment: I really like the lighting here. you made it so dramatic that even the overexposed highlights on the top thumb work well in the image. a simple handshake presented in an interesting way. |

Anticipationby BobsterLobsterComment: love the lighting (except for the bright spot on her nose) cropping is very good. the tight crop creates a very intimate feeling in the picture. well done. |

Mum's Healing Hands.by KiwiChrisComment: nicely done as a black and white image. had this been an advanced editting challenge, I would have recommended removing the baby's hand in the top corner of the frame because I think the mother cradling the feet is really a strong image and doesn't need the competiton. I also think the frame border competes for my attention. It's a great image. Let it stand on its own without the extraneous elements. |
