A Pavilion-Window View of a Parasail Paradeby espy2Comment: Hey, just noticed your comment!
What I meant was that by looking at the photo, I use my imagination to transport me there and to see what else lies outside the window. I can feel the heat, feel the sand under my toes, feel the breeze, etc. Imagining myself there, I now start to look for somewhere better to take photos from, as I don't think that the composition here does it justice. What is the point of focus? Where does the eye settle? Is there a flow to the photo? Why was it taken? What is it communicating? The beach looks cluttered. The thing is, that this composition is really about the windows, the sea and the parasailers. Everything else seems random. That's why I think it's not strong enough. |

Haleluja!by BoltiComment: Selective desat has made the coloured area look too much like a cartoon here and strikes me as completely gratuitous. |

Nikkiby facesastheycomeComment: Nice attempt at backlighting, shame about the horrendous noise levels. |

Wine Anyone?by PrismComment: Needs something more to raise this above a snapshot of a shop window. |

A Portable Viewby andriComment: This would have been a lovely photo without the window. I can't really see why it's there other than to meet a DPC challenge. |

"Window", Framedby LN13Comment: Composition feels balanced, but needs something extra to raise this above the commonplace. |

Window on Dreams gone Byby yetiComment: Shots taken from cars/trucks need to be pretty special to not look like a snapshot. Midday is not usually a good time for photos. |
