the Prowlerby spydrComment: Interesting shot, nice use of colour to set the atmosphere. Terrible noise levels (blue channels are usually the noisiest), did you try NeatImage? Another alternative would have been to desaturate just the red or green channel, and then turn the whole photo blue. You'd have lost the reds though. The background is compositionally too cluttered otherwise this would have been a really high-impact shot. |

Eye the Past as Time Rolls Onby dagaleaaComment: Not sure what you were trying to achieve here. The brief asked for an interesting window view, and my eye is not drawn to anything of interest. The reflections contain a lot of burnt out highlights. The motion blur is small enough to look accidental. My eye demands a point of focus here! |

Underground Curvesby alternaruleComment: Critique Club:
I like the motion blur in this shot, but feel that the composition hasn't been fully thought through. Rule of thirds is usually the photographer's best ally and should only be broken when you feel you have a good reason to. Here, I would have placed the exit/ entrance which is the focal point on the lower-right thirds junction. I wonder how many pictures you took here... I would have set myself up here with a tripod and waited for an interesting assortment of people to turn up. The people here seem a bit mundane and don't really grab my attention. A tripod would have helped you with some much needed sharpness and clarity. I do really like the curves and lines in the shot. Did you set the white balance or was it automatic? The colour balance seems off to me. Also, was this set on a high ISO? The noise levels are really bad. NeatImage could help this a little, but that is seriously bad noise, especially in the ceiling.
To sum up: an interesting environment chosen with some great shapes, but let down by haphazard composition, colour balance and noise levels. |

Interesting... I thought this comment really should be the most useful for you. |

Spokes in Motionby flip89Comment: Nice shot, imaginative composition. I'd have liked to see more clarity in the lights. |

las ruedasby rananculusComment: Some nice aspects to this shot... good textures, interesting subject. However, it is slightly overexposed and lacking sharpness. It appears there is a slight colour cast due to the wrong white balance being used. And the background doesn't seem fully thought out, especially that ugly shopping bag. |

Retired after 50 yearsby Ecce_SignumComment: Interesting choice of wheel, some nice textures. However, there's just too much detail in this shot that pulls my eye away from the subject and leads to a feeling of compositional chaos. Shot feels oversharpened to me. |

Wheels of Warby blackjackComment: Sloping horizon is very offputting. General impression is one of a snapshot. Not really sure what you wanted to achieve with this shot. Think about how you would have improved the composition here. |

Old&Rustyby nickgustoComment: Interesting subject, composition seems a bit unimaginative though. Melting snow looks good in b&w. |
