Bottoms Upby PhotomouseComment: The duck and main concept are this image are a bit lost against the surrounding environment. The percentage area taken up by the main subject is quite small. The duck is also a bit blurred. Nice idea but a more simplified shot just against water with perhaps a nice reflection would do better |

Fun in the Sunby CamComment: Nice idea, the background takes away from the car though and has nothing to do with the subject or challenge. If the background was nicely blurred then I think it would score higher. The high scoring images tend to be very simple. I see the car against a completely neutral/plain background doing better. The viewpoint is taken from eye level, photographs with different viewpoints have more interest. If taken from lower down (wheel height for example) then I think it would be more dramatic |

Autumn Is Upon Usby btrflyComment: Its hard to pick out the detail here, the leaves at this resolution look like noise which is unfortunate. |

Ready to Restoreby JEFFJSBComment: Could have really pushed the levels hard to get it really gritty and dramatic to further enhance the subject. Lovely cropping. Some might say its too tight but I think it makes it quite abstract |

Off and Awayby PhotoRynoComment: The background is quite noisy and bright. If it was a lot darker and more blurred then the main subject would stand out a lot more. The bird is also almost dead centre in the image and given you also have a "feature" in the water on the left hand side, the composition is is not that well balanced. Opening up more empty space on the right hand side during the cropping stage for the subject to fly into would have been better |

Rememberby xianartComment: Having the camera at the same height level as the subject or from an extreme height or low point to give an unusual viewpoint would have been better for me. |

Day at the Docksby anthonyczajaComment: Nice background blur. I can't help but think the eyes could do with a little more work to get them sharper and really sparkle |

From ancient timesby silverscreenComment: Really gritty image but it works here. The sky and light coming through is really good. A popular blueish duetone hue would not have worked here, it would be too cold so you did right with this selection |

vanishingby StrikeslipComment: Wicked flare, it really works here. Lovely deep, strong duetone hue |
