classby tnunComment: Proper and elegant, good capture of the spirit of upper class sensibility of a former empire. Reminds me of similar settings in Victoria B.C. |

Graybeardsby GermaineComment: Almost missed the "No Fishing" warning just in front of the perfect fishing bench. Nice mood. Might be fun to play with black and white versions. |

Outback Town Emergency Signby in2truthComment: "Flying doctor" generates an image of a guy in a white coat zooming across the sky like superman. I suppose the reality must be more mundanes, involving an airplane or helicopter -- although, with Australia, one can never be sure. |

Eulo Population Signby in2truthComment: In the desert country of the SW USA, we also have odd little roadside attractions -- more often gems and rocks or native crafts, but sometimes biologic oddities or strange collections of objects. Have not discovered any lizard races yet. Fun capture. Love the tiny welcome sign patched together at the bottom. |

Strzelecki Track Signby in2truthComment: If a writer were to include "Mt. Hopeless" as part of a novel, the editor would probably insist on changing the name to something more believable. Signs make for good documentary images. This one is nice because of the wide nearly empty background and blue sky going so well with the message. |

Sunday afternoonby LelezComment: Environmental portraits are tricky at times since you have to consider the people and also their surroundings. In this case, including the open gate works well with their smiles, conveying an sense of welcome, while cropping the gate away might leave an impression of prison bars. I'm sure they'll enjoy a copy. |

Bouquetby GermaineComment: I frist looked at this as an arrangement up on a stucco wall, then saw your notes and began to appreciate the variation in sand texture. Well seen. |

Moss Frame #2by pixelpigComment: Very pretty frame. Interesting how the extra light inside the frame makes the bricks there seem to set in a bit deeper than the outer bricks. The illusion goes away at higher magnification that shows only part of the frame and less of the difference in light. |
