Very creative design and sharp enought to work. Unfortunately, there seems to be a yellow color cast (especially seen in lens lettering that normally would look white). If captured under tungsten light, setting camera white balance or adjusting in post processing might be worth considering.

Penny For Your Thoughts

You are exactly right about the difficulty in getting a small flat surface exactly parallel to the camera sensor. You got the color right and magnified well. In another marco challenge, my penny ended up slightly soft in some areas because of being slightly off from perfectly parallel:



Time jostling in pockets can wear down the small surface details. I concluded that I should have used a brand new penny. But I did learn a lot in the attempt. Nice to see another variation.
