I am a big fan of dogs, so when they fit the challenge - way cool! In this case it does fit the challenge, but your lighting (seems it is a post processing issue to remove something in the background?) is so harsh it blows out any bit of detail and interest in this shot.

I really had to look at this for a long time to figure out how you did it - but I think I've got it - one side is a picture placed next to the other? Your lighting is different on each one. The perfume one seems like a little too much light and the onion/garlic seems like not quite enough when right next to the other. I'm not a big fan of either background. Interesting idea for the challenge though!

A scented candle

Candles are tough for a scents/aromas challenge - especially since I don't know the scent... looking at this image, I can't imagine what I should be smelling. I like the Pine branches around it, and the way they are highlighted by the candle glow. There just isn't a lot holding my interest.

Excellent capture of the smoke, with all the recent forum discussion about it, it doesn't seem easy. Your coloring seems off, there appears to be some grain that results from a lot of hue/saturation or color adjusting.

These definately have a strong scent! I think this shot could have been improved by better focus, possibly a sharpen. It would have been better on a solid surface or in a basket maybe.... Lighting seems good.

Memories of my Grandfather

I still remember this scent from my Grandfather. I like your subject, but it would be better if the slight line of glare could have been eliminated. I wonder if it would have helped to bounce the light? I like the shadow the bottle casts.

Just For Men!

Composition and lighting are good. This looks almost like an ad in a magazine. Definately applies to a scents and aromas challenge. The frame / border is good - I think it adds to the image. I like the 'woman shaped' bottle in the background - excellent idea. My only pick is that the Calvin Klein bottle appears ever so slightly tilted in the frame. Nice Work :-)
