It may be just a tad underexposed?? The bright spot in the lower right distracts my eye. This is a good shot, and I really like the idea! Nice work :-)

The part of this shot that is in focus is the birdcage. It is hard to see the dog, and there could possibly be a cat in there as well??? It might help to prefocus on the animals before taking the picture. Also, your flash is pretty bright and the bars of the birdcage lost a lot of color and detail.

Edit: just realized it was bird cage.... sorry.

This is the coolest idea I've seen so far on the Point of View challenge. Good lighting, good composition, love the crop - overall, excellent. I'd be surprised if this doesn't ribbon. :-)
