Brokenby PtmanComment: Critique Club Assignment:
Initial: What an impact. This is very dramatic.
Composition: The windmill is framed nicely, and I like how it is eclipsing the sun. The clouds and sky are a beautiful color and are tangible.
Technical: Focus, colors, selection of time of day. All excellent.
Overall: This has wow! The clouds in the distance pull your eye right over the ridge.
I don't think this did as well as it maybe should have, however, I believe it is work you can and should be very proud of!
Nice going! |

Waiting for Romanceby Harz_JoergComment: Critique Club Assignment:
Initial: So cute! My original comment I gave during the voting I think says it all, but I will attempt to be a bit more detailed.
Composition: Nice background, and arrangement. Makes for an adorable subject easy to view at length.
Technical: Too blurry.. even a tad more sharpness would give this a soft focus effect..
Overall: I like the expression on the dog, and the lighting is well done.
Good job overall, still awaiting the reshoot :P

Specks and the Universeby greenem2Comment: I love this photo. emotive. even tones to set the scene of tranquility.. awesome work! you should be proud.
Edit: My daughter's (9 yrs old) interpretation... I like the sky. It looks like a time portal that is opening for the children. |

Future Ballerinasby SonifoComment: beautiful! awesome lighting. even tones. look how the girl on the far left is looking into the photo... further enhancing the eye's lead in along the rail and wall. skip - skip - skip along the line of girls whose heads and toes further lead you to the last little girl on the end.. who looks like she has to pee! LOL how darling! what a moment! beautifully captured! |

Windswept Pasturesby TarbiniComment: I like the contrast between the sky and the white windmills, and the green pasture. nice depth in the photo, and the cattle add a sense of scale and distance. the way the hill is sloped down and to the right adds movement and interest, and I like how it is doesn't cut the photo in half, even diagonally. Nice clarity. Job well done!
edit: My daughters critique (9 yrs old): It's colorful, and interesting. I like how the windmills are arranged, and slope down along the hill. I also like the cows. |

...A Few Dollars Moreby tfarrell23Comment: Critique Club Assignment:
Composition: I think this could benefit from a tighter crop. Although, I like the angle.
Technical: Where the lighting is lacking, it could be cropped out by a tighter composition, or just cropping it in post-processing. On the flip side, the lighting is too bright on the edge of the bowl.
Overall: This unfortuately doesn't captivate me. The money could be in sharper focus, and the lighting and framing improved. |
