In My City Gardenby mariomelComment: Nice capture though a little more exposure would bring out the details in the dark areas of the wings. Less DOF would allow for a much more blurred background. |

Follow the pathby kevinswopeComment: Good use of leading lines. The foliage and the path both lead the viewer into the background of the image though a little more light on the background could possibly add appeal. |

Waiting for Fallby BlinksComment: Nice idea to use sepia here though it appears to be a little over exposed. Most likely due to the harsh lighting. To compensate for this a diffuser and/or reflector may have helped to allow you to bring out more of the details in the shadows. |

Thirsty ?by melissartsComment: Leading lines are used perfectly here. A little more sharpness and depth of field would possibly give this image more appeal. |

...ants are marchingby nnaahComment: Good use of DOF and composition though a little more contrast would help emphasize the ant. |

broken wingby delarimanComment: Composition and exposure are good. You have used DOF to your advantage though your subject could possibly benefit from sharper focus. |

the water garden playgroundby nitro102Comment: It's always hard to get a balanced image when part of the picture is in bright sunshine and the other part is in shade. You've done a good job to try and limit the amount of bright area in your photo though your foreground still appears to be a bit underexposed. To try and solve this without blowing out the sky you could try using a graduated ND filter to tone down the background and allow you to expose more for the foreground. This would probably work since the transition between bright and shade is in a fairly straight line. |

Spiderby daztazComment: You've captured lots of detail in this closeup though maybe the image could benefit from a little more DOF. Lighting is good, maybe just a tad too bright on the right. The bright green background is a bit distracting as well. |
