Expiry date: 30 seconds after pickingby herfotomanComment: Do they last that long? I'd eat it in ten! I like the idea, almost looks like it's glowing. Nitpick: not so fond of the harsh light on the stem side. I do love the network pattern from the leaf wrap thinger (that's totally a botanical term!).
... why did I suddenly start thinking about aliens? Better move on... |

New York Cheesecake With Fresh Raspberries by CuttoothComment: I love the lighting in this, it screams afternoon tea (coffee), maybe with a window open to let in a Summer breeze, listen to the birds, enjoy a quiet moment... and those raspberries look so nice and fresh, if I could reach down and snag one I would! |

Tree Scenesby LawtonComment: This is lovely! Feels like home... not that I live in a mire, but they are common enough around here. I like your use of narrow photos for this triptych. Nice colours as well!
Sooo... mystery word: Bog/Mire? |

Wild Flowersby dtremainComment: Sharp and nice colours. Maybe I would crop it some, the purplish background flowers steals my attention from the yellow (sunflower?) one. |

prints of jupiterby klkitchensComment: Really nice colours in this, especially above the roll where it's not blown out. A rather unusual subject which is interesting! The shadow in the upper right corner bothers me a little, would maybe have used a slightly tighter crop to get rid of it. I'm curious as to why the hues are different below the roll, is this due to the lighting, or because it was taken with phone? |

Freedom Runby littlemavComment: They be lookin' a bit grumpy... I wish I could see where this freedom is. Is there an opening? From this POV, they almost seem to be running towards the fence. I like that the horses are well illuminated despite the dark surroundings. |

Staying independent by jagarComment: This is such an amazing photo. Out of the ones in this challenge, this has the most impact for me. I can see the actual struggle to stay independent and not having to rely on social services or relatives, or even being forced to leave a loved home and move to a nursing home. I hold this higher than the countless flags, parades or fireworks in this challenge - simply because this is an actual on-going struggle for a lot of people, and not something that took place several hundred of years ago.
I had decided not to vote in this challenge (due to how I feel about said flags and fireworks), but I think I have to anyway, just so I can give this the score it deserves. 10! |
