BookCover.jpgby rjksteschComment: PAW - Excellent shot. That should sell some books. The rest of the cover was laid out very well also. The picture on the cover looks pretty noisy, or is that the secondary capture? |

MoabBluff-1717.jpgby rjksteschComment: PAW - Nice shot for the family album. This is a different, greater depth viewpoint of Mesa Arch. You did very well with the different brightness levels. I would love to tour the Southwest US parks. |

BracesSassy-1478.jpgby rjksteschComment: PAW - Nice composition. I like Sassy's buddy. I was going to ask what ShutterPug did also. Poor girl must miss her owners, but she looks very happy. A shallow DOF would help with that wrinkled background. |

BracesSassy-1418.jpgby rjksteschComment: PAW - Cute shot. I think softening the focus and/or diffusing the lighting a bit would improve the faces. Nice background, is that a photography backdrop? |

Exhibit-7740-2.jpgby rjksteschComment: PAW - I like how the background has several other artifacts of interest, though the top hat and bright colored thing behind it seem out of place, and I think even moving the desk out of view would improve it. If it's an exhibit that may not have been possible. Something sticking out behind the right side of the subject is distracting also. Maybe changing the camera position would help these fit better or be hidden behind the subject (head dress?). A little more light on the front of the subject would be nice to bring out detail. This is definitely something to cherish for posterity. |

Blown Away by DrAchooComment: Great shot. Congratulations Doc, I thought this might win. I'm waiting for the "how it was done". |

Red Chested Cuckooby sulamkComment: PAW - Very pretty bird. Soft focus on the background, but the sharpening really brought out excessive noise on the branches. I did what Judi mentioned in a class, but forgot how to, so I need to brush up on it myself. Or maybe a noise reducer would help. Thanks for the lesson on Red Chested Cuckoos. |

5.52 Reflectedby MelethiaComment: PAW - The reflections are interesting and it looks like multiple reflections, though it could just be that it's a reflection of multiple buildings. The Lensbaby gives it a mysterious look, and you got better focus on the guy than you would with most Lensbaby shots I've seen. Maybe because of the aperture? |

week5.jpgby Covert_OddityComment: PAW - I like the way the reflections are a little different depending on marble color and position. Is that dark part with the "wings" in the middle of each one the camera? I would like to see this done with backlighting and no light behind you, maybe by putting the marbles on a glass dish sitting on a flashlight in a dark room. The "cats eyes" in them are interesting and would really stand out with backlighting. |
