I love these water drop over background shots. I'd love to try them, but I don't have any partial flash equipment other than the on-camera one. A drop sensor trigger is really helpful here also. I love both shots. Maybe something in between the two would be best. I'm seeing a lot of good challenge contenders in this side challenge.

Nice coloring, but the focus is pretty soft and bothers my eyes. You have a square crop. A portrait crop may be better for the long bamboo poles.

It looks like the opposite corner of your day 1 subject. I agree it looks noisy. There are a lot of adjustments on that camera, and you can focus to 1cm. Try really getting in there with it.
