Sunset in Harborby katemullerComment: The desat here (in my opinion) fails to enhance the photo, and so serves more as a distraction in what would be otherwise a very nice picture. |

Match Pointby kris11Comment: Nice shot; the color is a bit bright for the remainder of the scene, and a longer lens would have brought the opponent a little closer. |

Eliasby oscarmeyerComment: What a great shot! I love the grungy treatment, lovely colors, and (s)he looks like (s)he's balancing on that tiny spot of focus. Beauty. Message edited by author 2007-05-22 12:36:26. |

...when you finally reappear at the place where you came from...by raishComment: Hmm... I love this pic - it's really beautiful. But I really don't think it meets the challenge - to me it's not enough that some lines coverge, but that parallel lines converge as they go to infinity - that's not what's happening here. I expect you predicted some of these responses, though.
That said, it's really a marvelous picture; great color and DOF, and the texture of the veins is great. |

Vanish into The Darknessby Lone_WolfComment: Interesting interpretation of the challenge; nice to see something different (I did one of the interminable train-track shots).
I think the lighting lets you down pretty seriously here, and ends up leaving a pretty snapshottish effect; it's just pretty flat - I can't tell if you used on-camera flash or (I suspect) natural lighting but either way it's from directly behind you, so you lose the texture. The dramatic cave shots I think of tend to have several lights hidden in the foreground to accentuate the shapes in the cave. |

In the Gardenby talmyComment: focus is a bit soft, and the colors are not compelling - would do better to shoot this at sunrise or sunset. |
