Hello from the Critique Club

First Reaction

Needs better lighting

Technically
A little out of focus and too much light on the top and nothing to draw you into the cave.

Composition
Interesting idea and setup

Meets the Challenge
No, nothing vanishing here.

You should go back and retake the picture again, get a better focus, try different angles and lighting. This could be a very interesting picture.

Thanks for allowing me to critique your photo.

Keep shooting and have fun.

Karen

Needs sharpness and a bit more something ... the concept is a good one and I don't know if flash would have helped or not.

no parallel lines converging, not really vanishing point.

The "point" is hard to discern here. It's an interesting photo otherwise.

Interesting interpretation of the challenge; nice to see something different (I did one of the interminable train-track shots).

I think the lighting lets you down pretty seriously here, and ends up leaving a pretty snapshottish effect; it's just pretty flat - I can't tell if you used on-camera flash or (I suspect) natural lighting but either way it's from directly behind you, so you lose the texture. The dramatic cave shots I think of tend to have several lights hidden in the foreground to accentuate the shapes in the cave.
