This is a terrific shot! I actually don't think the background is distracting at all, it gives you a feel for the restaurant & makes you fell like you are actually sitting next to this guy. I frequently find myself staring & mesmorized by people, I find people so fascinating. You really captured his emotions here, great shot & the B&W is perfect for this shot.
