early morning by bmartuchComment: I am so glad this got a ribbon. It was one of my favorites in the challenge as I have spent many a day fishing and it's so peaceful. |

Just for the fun of it by NeatComment: Congratulations on your HM - I don't think anyone could look at this shot and not feel his joy - it's contagious. Thank you for documenting your settings .. I learn so much from reading them. |

Silence is golden by NeatComment: Congratulations on your ribbon .. this is such a wonderful photo and your pping is skillfully done. The young man looks lost in thought and what better place to reflect than in a golden field bathed in the light of the golden sun setting. |

Turkey enough for 48 days? by Bear_MusicComment: Congratulations on your Blue - you succeeded in the Norman Rockwell 'thing' - I really like the light from the ceiling shining on the fixture ( at least that's what it looks like to me ) .. it's quirky and neat and kept my interest. I can never get the scene outside windows to be as well exposed as what you did. I also like that only the turkey was present as it allows the eye to take in the beautifully decorated table. A wonderful gathering in a gracious setting. Message edited by author 2012-12-05 03:42:36. |

I remember Grandma always used her best dishes... by vawendyComment: Indeed you did tap into some memories - days when the good dishes were taken out and used and then carefully packed away again. But that's not the only reason - this is a beautiful shot that is beautifully pped and doesn't look set-up - it looks like a table awaiting a family who will laugh and share and enjoy eating off of the special dishes. Congratulations vawendy and thanks for the memories. |

Lenticular Clouds Overhang Boulderby hahn23Comment: I was so surprised this scored below a 5 - I gave it a 7 and was going to go back and up my votes on a few shots, this one included, after I finished voting. I got distracted and didn't follow through. These clouds are not common - they look as if they are protecting the trees from the coming storm. This shot is perfectly photographed, processed just right and is a creative and interesting take on the challenge.
I did a set up shot and it was boring. The model was too close to the b/g to give it the oof look it needed and it scored higher than yours - ridiculous.
I have been away for quite some time and only enter sporadically and I am amazed at how photos are now being judged on DP - people used to maybe take off one point if they didn't think it fit the challenge but now - 1, 2 and 3 votes are the norm. I long for the old days and have gone back to voting as my way of protesting and your entry is another incentive for me to continue. Thank you . |

Quiet Apprehensionby CuttoothComment: Perfectly composed - just enough of the face showing to demonstrate the meaning of your title. Everything works. |
