If the title was Christmas 1954 I would have believed it as well - as others have noted, this photo has an old time quality to it and that makes it stand out for me.

So many things to catch my interest - he has a puddle around his feet so he must have been in the sprinkler or playing wit the hose .. living as I do in California but coming from Canada, I will never get used to Christmas decorations and hot weather with palm trees - nor eating an ice-cream under an outside wreath .. lovely slice of life. :)

Ah Ursula, you create such beauty from ordinary subjects - it makes me want to pull it off the screen and feel it against me as a favorite scarf - the mixture of softness and crispness is just gorgeous and fills up my eyes with it's beauty. I love the way the colors layer .. I could go on and on but suffice to say, it's another type of abstract that I love.

This is very well done - you can see clearly that it's a woman rushing but the extreme blur adds an anxious quality to it .. she must really not want to be late - the motion is made even more intense by the fact you have the iron barrier and the eye in focus - very nice work.
