Oh my gosh, that is just too good. I noticed the same thing about some of the old castles in Europe... ancient building with a satellite dish on top.
Have a great year with your tour - I'll follow along! I enjoyed last years tour of lights, too! |

Love Victorian homes. The dishes do make a funny contrast of eras. |

Cool find. I would have liked to see more of the house. I have a similar scene...the Amish farm house next to where my daughter lives has a satellite dish! Though I think it's left over from a previous owner. |

Definitely an oddity of life these days. Good observation. |

Lovely architectural detail - I wonder what the original architect would make of the new embellishments. |

Out of place, out of time. But well connected! |

Yep, modern tech is a good thing, and sometimes, not such a good thing. Nice capture at the red light! |

Very well seen - Germaine said it well - a visual oxymoron. It takes money to live in and keep up a house like this - more than it would a modern house in most cases. Not surprising that the owners would enjoy modern technology in addition to appreciating the beauty of tradition. |

Silly technology spoils this "little gem" in architecture that you have found in the city. I guess it's better than thousands of wires everywhere, if those are slowly disappearing and these are replacing them then that's a step in the right direction. Next, get the installers to put them less in obtrusive places. |

This one makes me smile - maybe they are trying to contact aliens and are disguising all the communication devices? Beam me up Scottie indeed :)
On another not, great job getting this much detail taken from your car. |

Germaine said it - and you captured it. Odd indeed - if increasingly common.

Typical. I live in a house like that. We at least try to hide all that stuff around in the back. |

Great find! I'm sure there are many architects and designers who would cringe to see such a lovely building treated like this. |

I like the roof lines and it makes me wonder what the rest of the house is like. Based on the other stuff on the roof I can picture the inside with all of the latest gadgets and HDTV's in almost every room! Thanks for stopping to take this one!! |
