anatomy of a robberfly by rozComment: Roz: you never cease to amaze me with your talent. The patients you have for this kind of shot speaks volumes to the type of photographer you are.
This normally mundane insect passes under our noses as a pest and causes many people much grief, but you have this unbelievable talent to capture the beauty that this creature has and is usually seen by its mate and show it to us in such a fashion that I find inspiring.
I love the macro shots you take of insects and will endeavor to do some of my own now that I see the beauty that they posses and the vibrant colours the mother nature has for us to see.
Thank you Roz. You are truly one of the best this site has to offer.
Keep them coming Roz YOU ROCK.
All the best

Spaceshipby KenComment: I like the effect of the filter and the overall processing of the image, it makes the "spaceship" pop out at you and the shot unique.

Buildingby KenComment: I like the pergola and the detail in the front of the building. Is this a restaurant or the upper level of an apartment? The contrast is nice and the texture of the building is appealing.

Doorsby KenComment: I love heritage buildings and these doors are just wonderful. I love the detail in the door and the paint coming off. The shutters are only for show by the looks of it but it would have something to find if they were the older style that still worked. Great shot and works well in B&W.

Taste of Freedomby KenComment: Nice B&W shot, I think the DoF is spot on and you've done a great job of showing us the detail in the building.

View behind meby hajekaComment: Great shot of the trees and the composition is spot on for me anyway. I like the bend in the tree row and the land bridge over the water. There could be a little more PP for my taste but aside from that I like the overall shot.

Reflectionby hajekaComment: I'm happy to see some flowers come out of this side challenge, I miss them around here. Your shot is well composed and the contrast is great. Nice work on this shot.

Geeseby hajekaComment: These shots are tough to get at the best of times. Every time I try to get one I end up with an empty frame, well empty of the birds anyway. Lots of grass, trees and water but no birds.
I like the contrast and the PP. It's too bad the birds in the back got most of the way out of the frame.
