When The Green Line Smileby empauloComment: Very nice. I like your 'seeing'. A good abstract! Thanks for sharing it. IMO, it could be a titch sharper but perhaps you intended the softer focus. |

Pinnedby moviemanComment: I really liked the mood and character of this shot. It works as art outside the concept of the challenge. Lovely.
Should have been a ribbon winner. |

Vanishng Pathby MikeOComment: This is an interesting shot. I'm not sure how I feel about the extremely narrow cropping. Was the blown out background intentional? I would suggest that the area of shaodow in the foreground is more interesting the background. Your meter seems to have read from the darker foreground which overexposed the background. In this case, the thing to do is fool your camera's meter by setting it to a -EV number. You'll get a shorter exposure which will result in a more natural sky and greater detail in the area of shadow play in the foreground. |

dream streamby _wu_Comment: A bit overexposed. My guess is the meter took a reading for the dark water. I would suggest, when taking a shot that can easily fool the meter (lights of contrast between lights and darks) using a -EV setting to trick the meter into exposing for some of those brighter areas. This will create greater detail in your lights and darks. |

Fading Memoriesby bananashayComment: Cute concept. My eye keeps being drawn to the boat and fence in the distance which don't have anything to do with this image. |

Peacefull Trafficby dfleisComment: This a very interesting composition. I enjoy the placement of the women to the extreme right of the frame. Her hat makes a very pleasing curve. The colors are lovely--the pale blue of the hat and her warm brown skin contrasting with the white tank top. Sadly, this doesn't illustrate a vanishing point to me. There is a horizon line, yes, but I'm loking for parallel lines converging at a point, real or imaginary, in the distance, and I don't see that here.
To further simplify this composition, I would suggest cropping out the area of cliffs that can be seen at the left of the frame. |

Vanish To The Mountainby midnightride2Comment: A nice idea and a pretty scene. The lighting is a bit bland. If you can ajdust your EV setting to bracket exposures, you should try a -EV setting to get a bit more contrast in the play of light and shadow. |

Plant Hallby tyt2000Comment: I like this, although I would have cropped out the ceiling, either at some point just before the first light, or at the point where the ceiling and wall meet above the pillars. |

... Trough The Seaby empauloComment: You should have adjusted the tilted horizon line in post-processing (this is allowed in the Basic Editing rules). Also, I would have cropped a good chunk of the bottom of the image, perhaps at the point where we can no longer see the rock wall, since not much is going on after that. |
