Setting Sunby banmornComment: Very dramatic color and great detail. I love the contrast the black background gives. |

off the wallby whiteroomComment: A very charming candid portrait. In terms of texture this has a nice range--the stone, the boy's very youthful skin, and his spikey hair. One of my tops. |

Every girls nightmareby LalliSigComment: Eek! I have pretty great skin for my age (38) so this isn't exactly my nightmare (mine always involove losing teeth). This is really well done. Great exposure and excellent image quality. Even though it's a phony set-up, it makes sense and works asthetically outside the challenge. I will be surprised if this doesn't ribbon. |

"Someone say Velcro?"by banditComment: Very funny and great textural detail. I think I recognize this fellow from other photos. How do you get him to pose so well? My cats are usually very uncooporative. :D |

Moss Forestby rioloboComment: Very nice. Unlike many of the shots with similar subject matter, which have appeared to contrasty to me, this appears to have a good amount of tonal range. I like the way the seedlings stand out sharply against the dark background. |

subordinate texturesby IceRockComment: Very interesting capture. I really like how the bird adds scale and interest to the main subject. I really hope all that white stuff dripping down isn't years of bird turd! |

Pricklyby shamrockComment: Quite a bit blown out in the highlights and more of the subject should be in sharp focus, IMO. |

in the darkby MsMiaComment: I generally find this to be boring subject matter but this is very well done. I think I would have left a little bit more negative space near the top to allow the flame a bit of breathing room. |
