Walking away from the lightby kevrobertsonComment: It's an interesting shot in a kind of "Charlie's Angels" way. I didn't see it as an unusual viewpoint. I saw it as a backlit subject which is fairly commonplace (consider that there is a scene setting on many DC for backlit subjects). I can't decide whether the vignetting hurts or helps this shot. I was kind of on the fence about this shot. It doesn't seem particulalry thought out. I generally like the stranger shots but this one really didn't work for me. One of the things that bugged me was that silver thing the middle girl is holding. |

Puzzled Daisy'sby WildpurpleComment: I'm pretty sure art filters such as the one you used are actual not legal for challenges. At any rate, I couldn't figure out what your unusual viewpoint was. I don't see tiling an image (I'm guessing you used a 16 shot VGA sequence?) as an unusual viewpoint. It was very blurry also but perhaps you intended that as part of the 'puzzled' theme? The cropping was odd. Sorry, you didn't do better but personally, I really didn't care for this. |

Allianceby melongrindComment: Of course you had to crop their heads otherwise you wouldn't have captured the older girl's protective grasp of her sister's hand or the defiant hand on hip pose (implied by the position of her head and shoulder) of the younger girl. Lovely! I want to see more like this on DPC. |

Tres Bouganvillaby autoolComment: This is a gorgeous studio shot of this subject. The colors really sing. I'm not crazy about the framing. I think simply rotating it clockwise and cropping it a bit at the left (so it's more off-center) would make a much stronger composition. As it is it sort of feels like it might fall out of the frame. |

Proud Parent of Threeby flip89Comment: What makes this a notch above run-of-the-mill is not just the beautiful exposure and detail on the birds feathers (particulalry the cygnets downiness) but the wonderful attitude the cygnet that is off on its own is displaying. He's the bad boy of the trio. Just look how well behaved the other two are being! Really cute in a natural way. |

Just for funby johnmkComment: I like the yellow boat against the monochromatic surroundings. The three spouts are fun. Great shot. |

Waiting for Playersby NeuferlandComment: I really liked this shot although it took me awhile to really decide that. I kept trying to figure out what about the composition appealed to me. It shouldn't work really because the chairs are leading the eye to an empty wall. But then I thought about all those dirty smudges on the wall and decided they tell a story about the players and the game. It's an unusual composition and I have a feeling I'm going to be in the minority (grain is practically taboo here) but I hope this does well for you. It's in my top three. |

Rainy sundayby TedvandenBerghComment: I love this. I love the color and clarity of the umbrella and the placement of the figure off in the distance. It tells a simple story, evokes a mood, and is beautiful to look at. This is my top pick. |
